Preservative Agent Chemical agent sometimes added to a composition to delay the effects of oxidation.
Enfleurage Former method of cold extraction of the floral products, finalized in Grasse, using the properties of some fat to absorb and hold the nice-smelling molecules. These perfumed creams are then alcoholic washed to give the absolute cream.
Résinoïde Coniferous product obtained by the treatment in the volatile solvents from certain natural balms, gums and resin, used generally as element of the thorough note.
Tincture Cold or warm Dissolution of the soluble parts of a solid body by prolonged contact with a liquid, mostly alcoholic. |
